On February 24th, the "Shenzhen Liege" freight route was opened for operation, which is the third international freight route opened by Shenzhen Airport this year and another cross-border e-commerce air freight dedicated line. This route connects Shenzhen Airport and Liege Airport in Belgium, two major cross-border e-commerce gateway airports between China and Europe.

This route is operated by Ethiopian Airlines and initially operates two flights per week, with a total outbound capacity of over 180 tons per week. It mainly carries Shenzhen's characteristic industry products such as cross-border e-commerce. In the later stage, the number of flights will be increased according to the cargo volume. After the opening of this route, the number of freight transportation cities at Shenzhen Airport has increased to 57, with 35 international and regional freight transportation cities.
Ethiopian Airlines is a globally renowned airline with a strong fleet size and route network covering five continents. This route is its first regular cargo route opened at Shenzhen Airport and its second cargo route opened in the Chinese market this year. China is one of the largest markets for Ethiopian Airlines outside of Africa, and this year marks the 50th anniversary of Ethiopian Airlines opening up the Chinese market.
